The truth is you can speed your metabolism!

And it's a lot easier than you might think!

In fact, you can actually burn 100's of extra calories a day just by making minor adjustments to what you do and what you eat. And, as a side benefit, you'll have lots more energy and you'll feel great!

Metabolism is a series of processes in your body that converts food to energy. The rate of your metabolism is a measurement of how fast your body uses energy to burn calories.

While you can't control how many calories your body uses to aid in healing or to make your heart beat, you can affect the rate that you burn calories from physical activity and food digestion.

Simply put, by eating "metabolism foods", or food that boosts metabolism, you can actually control the rate by which your body burns calories. And to really get that metabolism burning, you need to get moving. Really!

 

This is not rocket science.  Let's develop an action plan! 

Step one, you need to find easy ways to increase your activities. Too tired? No one's too tired to be thin!

You've just got to get started, and before you know it you'll be loving your new found get up and go! Can you feel it!

To really speed your metabolism, start by examining your weekly schedule. The idea is to change your old routines into new, healthy habits.

For example, by exercising in short bursts throughout the day, say 10 – 15 minutes every few hours, you can speed your metabolism and burn up extra fat. Find ways to build this into your day. The payoff is big - you'll start to feel better, more fit, almost immediately.

Next, try to work your new found energy into a plan. Save some private time for yourself, especially on the weekend. Then invest that time by walking or swimming, or golfing – whatever you like. Better yet, find a friend to go with you. Gardening, car washing, house cleaning, and mall-walking also count! During the week consider getting up early 2 times a week and take a walk. At work, find excuses to take the stairs as often as you can. Walk to lunch.

Certain metabolism foods will actually shift your metabolism in to high gear! It's as simple eating the right food foods and eliminating the "bad" foods such as those high in sugar or corn syrup, saturated fats, or food low in fiber.

As an added note, not only will these types of "bad" foods cause weight gain, they will also make you feel tired and lethargic. And that will seriously cut into your activity program.
